Overview Summary
A clean sheet design from Gulfstream which was certified at the end of 2018, the new G500 - not to be confused with an older variant of the GV known by the same name - is the most technically-advanced business jet available in the long range category.
The G500 is powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW800 turbofan engines and has an innovative wing design, making it industry-leading in its fuel efficiency. Seating up to 19 passengers, the G500 is capable of a range of 5,200nm and a maximum speed of Mach 0.85.
In the flightdeck the G500 breaks boundaries too, including industry-first active control sidesticks and touchscreen avionics interfaces, which allow the captain and first officer to work in a highly coordinated way.
