Marrakech Menara Airport History
Built in 1942, Marrakech airport was first a US Air Force base. Transferred to the Moroccan authorities in 1947, it is now managed by the French operator ONDA (Office national des transports) and the Royal Morrocan Armed Forces. It has also been featured in motion pictures.
In 2000, Marrakech airport was the first in North Africa to offer large infrastructures dedicated to private aviation (Heliconia Air Park).
