DEMAND FLYING HIGH FOR PRIVATE JETS FROM SCOTTISH AIRPORTS
PrivateFly.com, the leading private jet booking network, has announced a new partnership with Glasgow-based luxury transport provider, Phantom Scotland (www.phantomscotland.co.uk), to offer online private jet booking to their customers.
Phantom Scotland, whose services include Rolls Royce Phantom hire, celebrity car services, corporate chauffeurs and luxury yacht hire, has added private jet charter in and out of Scotland's airports to its offering. As an official transport provider to the MOBO awards taking place in Glasgow later this year, the company can now provide a seamless 'driveway to runway' travel experience for its VIP customers.
Shazad Bakhsh, director of Phantom Scotland, comments: "Our clients are increasingly requesting private jet charter services - not just celebrities but also time-starved business people and groups travelling together for weddings and sporting events. A partnership with PrivateFly.com is an excellent fit as it enables us to offer online search and booking as well as the seamless VIP service levels that our customers expect."
By using a branded 'white label' version of the PrivateFly software on its own website, Phantom Scotland can provide instant private jet price comparison and booking. The client's booking can also be completed by phone, with PrivateFly's expert team available 24/7.
Carol Cork, sales & marketing director of PrivateFly.com, adds: "We are delighted to be working with Phantom Scotland. Scotland is an important European region for private jet charter, and we are seeing a notable increase in demand from both business and leisure travellers from the region. There are 33 Scottish airports which can be accessed by private charter flights as opposed to only five used by airlines for external routes. The smaller airports can be much closer to the client's destination – minimising journey times."
Wick airport, for example, offers a direct landing point in the northern Highlands and there are no scheduled services there. Costs per head from London to Wick can start from £750* return on your own private aircraft. Many smaller Scottish airports also offer stunning views on the approach, such as Barra which was included in PrivateFly's global Top Ten scenic airport landings last year.
